I was a Democrat for 20 years.
Dad was Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue for Harry Truman and his father was Chief Counsel of the Treasury for Franklin Roosevelt. Coming from an old family of Democrats, of course I voted for John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Hubert Humphrey, and even Jimmy Carter. Dad passed away before Kennedy, injured by politics, but I went on voting for Democrats for 20 years.

- Government 'victory' in Viet Nam, Iran, the Panama Canal, and Afghanistan
- Government 'borders' that invite invasion
- Government 'economics' that pays failed banks
- Government's Code of Federal Regulations grown to the size of a 12X12 room every year
- Government ACLU's relentless attacks on freedom
- Government Acorn's creating a mass of illegal voters
- Government taxes of 40 percent on working people
- Government 'space' programs whose priority is to "make Moslems proud of their achievements in science"
- Government employees in unions
- Government 'health' that exterminate new citizens, the elderly, and any citizen at will
- Government mortgages for people who destroy their housing
- Government automobile companies that produce cars no one wants
- Government "environmental protection" that pushes a "Green" protection racket
